Vacancy Laboratory Coordinator

Together with a colleague Laboratory Coordinator and within the automation team, the Laboratory Coordinator is responsible for Providing support activities for the screening process and  for a good operational functioning laboratory in accordance with the specified guidelines and instructions regarding quality (ISO) and safety.

Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Adequate management of the laboratory, instrumentation, and reagents required for assay development and uHTS screening. Carrying out minor technical maintenance and cleaning of laboratories and instrumentation.
  • Responsible for adequate management of (part of) the screening instrumentation and where necessary repairing malfunctions. Carrying out or commissioning technical maintenance and repairs to building infrastructure, and/or maintain contact with companies that do this.
  • Operational warehouse management and logistics activities in accordance with ISO guidelines.
  • Responsible for operational support and unburdening of the screening process by providing preparatory and logistical activities, (operational) planning and availability of required substances and instrumentation.

 

Our job requirements:

Minimum requirements:
  • MBO level in working and thinking. Study in the field of laboratory education
  • Minimum of 2 year experience in life science laboratory and automation
  • Affinity with IT in the field of laboratory automation
  • Knowledge of general IT (Windows, MS office)
  • Good communication skills, in English (and at least understanding Dutch)
  • Can do mentality, service oriented and good planning and executing skills
Plusses:
  • Background in life sciences, chemistry, biology or related fields
  • Experience in an environment of compound (high throughput) screening
  • Knowledge of relevant software packages (e.g. Cellario, ActivityBase, Genedata, etc.)
