Our open access laboratory is designed to provide you with the experienced technical staff and easy-to-use automation infrastructure for assay development, screening, hit-to-lead, high content analysis and technology development.

The open access lab at PPSC gives you a fast and direct access to laboratory space, a broad selection of instruments and specialised supporting staff without large investments. You can flexibly scale up your experiments and efficiently run your own biology using our automation and expertise.

The open access lab is an infrastructure based on 5 “islands of automation” with orca robotic systems and Biomek liquid handlers. Activities like plate preparation, creation of serial dilutions, testing of assay panels for selectivity and even HTS can be performed in an efficient manner.

We welcome clients and guests in our open access lab where they can use automated systems and individual instruments to automate their workflows or to get access to advanced instrumentation for their research projects. PPSC experts are available for training, advice and trouble shooting. Our aim is to provide “worry-free” access to automation.

Real-time kinetic reader for fluorescence and luminescence for applications such as: Calcium flux (GPCRs and ion channels), Cardiotoxicity assays, Aequorin and BRET

IncuCyte® Zoom Live-Cell Analysis System
Imager for live cell imaging and analysis using flasks or microplates for more than 20 applications. This Imager is placed in a humidified cell incubator at 5% CO2 and 37°C and can held up to 6 plates

Imaging system for western blots and in-cell western assays (96- or 384-well microplates using laser-based NIR wavelengths at 700 nm and 800 nm.

Fluorescent Imager for cell imaging and analysis for microplates (up to 384-well) using different applications.

A device that applies seal material on top of microplates to seal individual wells (heat-based)

Automation platform (Beckman) for preparation of assay plates (different formats) and serial dilutions using pin tools or tips (for instance for MedChem support)
