Pivot Park aims to offer a healthy, safe and pleasant working environment for all community members hence the reason we want to realize a smoke-free campus ground. Though the Pivot Park buildings are smoke-free, at the park it is still possible to smoke in the abri next to the restaurant The Pivot or at the parking lot. As of July 1st, 2021 Pivot Park campus will be entirely smoke-free.
Why do we want Pivot Park to be a smoke-free campus?
The tenants on the Pivot Park campus are, all in their own and unique way, working on improving global health. A smoke-free campus fits the mission of our community. Therefore Pivot Par will join a broad social movement: a smoke-free generation.
A smoke-free campus, what does that mean?
- An area where we kindly but urgently ask you to take others into account. This way we keep the air around the campus free from smoke.
- A site that we keep smoke- and vapor-free together.
- A clean site, which is better for the environment.
- The smoke abri will be removed as of July 1st, 2021.
- The parking lot will be a smoke-free area as of July 1st, 2021.
Help provided for Community Members
As part of our mission to offer a healthy, safe and pleasant working environment we offer support to community members to quit smoking. People smoke because smoking is an addiction, not to cause a nuisance of health problems (for themselves or others). Do you want to quit smoking? Pivot Park will offer you a quit-smoking course.
