PimBio has received financial support from the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate under the program “De Subsidieregeling MKB Innovatiestimulering Topsectoren Zuid-Nederland 2015”.
The project covers feasibility study for additive manufacturing microfluidica for cell culture designated with the acronym ‘ADAM’. Goal of the project is to obtain insight in the technological feasibility to prototype and manufacture microfluidic devices in single pieces or in small series, at low costs and on the design specification of customers in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry, healthcare, education etc. Focus areas of research are the materials and production technologies to be used for n = 1 microfluidic devices for organ-on-a-chip applications.
