In the Leaders in Life Sciences podcast, our host Henk Jan Out engages in conversations with leaders of now and soon in the life sciences sector. This episode’s guest is Klaas Poelstra and Laura Heitman.

Many organisations in the Netherlands are involved in drug development. These include not only companies, but also universities, scientific societies, regulatory authorities, science parks, pharmacists, pharmaceutical companies, pharmacologists, government bodies and many others. They are united within the Federation for Innovative Drug Research in the Netherlands (FIGON).

FIGON aims to facilitate interaction between these diverse stakeholders, among other things by organising the annual Dutch Medicines Days, which this year will take place on 7 and 8 October at CORPUS in Leiden.

Klaas Poelstra and Laura Heitman, Chair and Vice-Chair of FIGON respectively, talk to Henk Jan Out about how they help shape and strengthen this important scientific collaboration.
