The Opportunity
As a Design Engineer at RiboPro, you will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists developing our groundbreaking RiboFlux systems. Unlike conventional equipment, these innovative platforms are designed from the ground up and challenge traditional engineering approaches. You will play a key role in the design and development of components and modules for both the microfluidic core of the system and the integrated high-tech machine surrounding it. Working at the intersection of mechanical engineering, microfluidics, and life sciences, you will help transform pioneering concepts into robust, industrialized products that have the potential to redefine mRNA manufacturing.
Core responsibilities
- Product design engineering with SolidWorks
- Rapid prototyping with 3D Printing (SLA & FDM), CNC, Jig building
- Testing Proof of Concepts, assembly designs, microfluidics principles, and similar
- Developing manufacturable designs, using DFMAT
- Define product and assembly specifications and tolerances
- Collaborating with engineering and production partners
Requirements
- At least BSc in Industrial/Mechanical (Design) Engineering or similar
- Professional experience (3y+) in product development engineering
- Extensive CAD experience (3y+), pref. SolidWorks (part design & complex assemblies)
- Product tolerance experience (1y+), pref. in GD&T and including metrology
- DFM(AT) experience (1y+)
- Fluent in English
Preferred experience:
- Prototyping
- Product designing for injection moulding
- 3D printing
- Quality Assurance development
- Medical product regulations
- Product Lifecycle (or Data) Management, preferably in 3DExperience
