This week, the municipal government of Oss approved a proposal aimed at enabling the further development and expansion of our campus. The municipality is looking to invest around €30 million, while the provincial government of North Brabant intends to contribute approximately €70 million.
Creating space for continued growth
The proposed investment would create room for new business space, the further development of the Pivot Incubator specifically for scaleups, a new central community building and further sustainability improvements across the campus.
This additional space is needed to support the continued growth of Pivot Park. In recent years, Pivot Park has continued to develop and now has an occupancy rate of around 90%. Around 60 companies are based here and more than 880 people work on the campus. Further development is essential to give existing companies the space to continue developing and growing at Pivot Park, while also welcoming new companies to the campus.
The investment is also about strengthening the ecosystem of companies, researchers and entrepreneurs at Pivot Park. In doing so, it supports innovation, high-quality employment and the economic future of Oss and will strengthen Oss’ role as a city of innovation, research and medicine manufacturing.
The steps taken this week bring the next phase of Pivot Park clearly closer, but are not yet final. The Oss Municipal Council still needs to decide on the proposal and the Provincial Council can also give its views and comments on the proposal.
