Introduction to Preclinical Drug Discovery
Do you want to develop in the field of Drug Discovery? Register now for the second edition of the Radboud Summer School course ‘Preclinical Drug Discovery’ in July 2022.
The course will be organized jointly by Radboud University (Nijmegen), Pivot Park Life Science campus (Oss) and HAN University of Applied Sciences (Nijmegen), covering the most important aspects of modern drug discovery. Anyone interested in drug discovery with a background in any of the life sciences, ranging from students with at least bachelor level to lab technicians, entrepreneurs, and researchers employed by life sciences and/or chemical companies, is invited to apply for this 5-day course at the Pivot Park.
After this course you are able to:
- Understand how drugs are discovered and developed.
- Understand in general terms the process of drug discovery (the different phases).
- Understand the basic principles of medicinal chemistry.
- Understand the important factors for a molecule to become a drug.

At Pivot Park Screening Centre (PPSC) in Oss, the Netherlands, he is involved in cellular and biochemical assay development, ultra-High Throughput screening (uHTS) and Hit-to-Lead (H2L) biological compound profiling within a wide range of commercial, academic and public-private partnership projects including the European Lead Factory (ELF).
