2022-23 sees a series of anniversaries for the world-famous pharma cluster in Oss. In 2023, it is 100 years since Organon began the large-scale manufacturing of medicines. MSD celebrates 25 years of commercial biotech in Oss. And in 2022, Pivot Park and Aspen mark 10 years as part of the Oss life sciences scene.
That’s plenty to celebrate; something we plan to do in style with a series of festivities organised by Aspen, MSD, Organon, Pivot Park the city of Oss. The party kicks off in September 2022.

As the Oss pharma cluster, our strength lies in our combination of deep knowledge about the development of medicines with a thorough understanding of the requirements of high-quality production. We cover the complete chain, from early-stage research to the commercial-scale production of medicines.
The theme for the year-long series of events is therefore ‘100 Years Pharma Future’. This reflects the 100 years in which the Oss pharma cluster has driven medicine forward by focusing on the future and on improving the health of people all over the world.
During the year we are inviting companies, science, education and knowledge institutions, plus associations, government and other partners in the Netherlands to look ahead to the future of life sciences under the motto of 100 years of ‘pharma future’.
We are also reflecting on the contribution of scientists at dozens of companies large and small. These people, our colleagues, friends, family and neighbours, put their heart and soul into new medicines, new products and new services that will improve lives worldwide.
Pharma in Oss builds on qualities, expertise and networks that go back decades. This is what you get when you have a variety of pharmaceutical companies, suppliers and knowledge institutions all close to each other. And just as in the past, this collaboration benefits the local economy. Today, Oss is home to the greatest number of pharmaceutical jobs in the Netherlands.
